Teresa has been writing and performing comedy since she was a teenager in Memphis, Tennessee, writing the humorous sketches for comic relief in between sermons and music at church! She has an edgy, original style and a friendly stage presence which appeals to people of all backgrounds. She tries to live by Proverbs 31:25 – “She can laugh at the days to come.”
From her job as a Hallmark artist/writer, she went on to win work as a comedian at some of the finest clubs in the country, including "Comedy Works" in Denver, "Zanies" in Chicago, and "Catch a Rising Star" in Las Vegas.
Her TV appearances include A&E’s " Evening at the Improv," " Comedy on the Road," HBO’s "Comic Relief," and PAX’s "Bananas." She is also a featured comic on the Warner Brothers’ DVD Comedy Concert Release, " Thou Shalt Laugh."
Her greeting cards have been published by Hallmark and Recycled Paper Greetings, as well as her own card company, Laughing Redhead Studio. She is a contributing author to the Hallmark Gift Book, "Laughing Out Loud", and the upcoming Howard Books release, "Humor for a Sister’s Heart," both for the Christian market. Her upcoming book of cartoons for women , "The Older I Get, The Less I Care," will be published for the mainstream market by Andrews McMeel Publishing, the world’s largest humor publisher!
She loves comedy and cartooning, and has been happily married to her husband Gary Logan, an actor and dialect coach, for 19 years, and is the proud mom of Andrew, who is 13 years old and loves acting, travel, and Irish Stepdancing! They lived in Denver the last 19 years and just recently relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia.
"God has always been there for me. Even when I didn't feel it, or think it, or agree with what He had in mind for me at the time!
"I remember begging God for faith when I was a teenager, and I felt I was praying to the ceiling; I had read a Psalm where David begged God for faith, and I thought, 'That's for me.'
"What I've realized is that God doesn't need us to beg Him for anything - He gives us faith through His GRACE. He loves us in a way we may never understand.
"I have lots of friends of other faiths, as well as friends who see no need for faith. God loves them just as much as He loves me.
"I've gone through my own questioning, being a bit of a smart aleck and naturally cynical; and I'm so blessed to have a God who isn't afraid of my questions, a God who can stand up to it, and who teaches me this part of faith: I don't always have to know the answers!
"But I keep coming back, being drawn to the fact of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, and His resurrection, and that this matters to me deeply, because Jesus is so REAL and so RELEVANT.
"I never think of myself as a 'Christian comedian,' any more than an accountant would call herself a 'Christian accountant.' A Christian is what I am. I'm a comedian who's a Christian.
"And being a Christian permeates everything I do, I can't help it, nor do I want to help it.
"I'm glad and quite relieved that God uses 'the foolish things' (I Cor. 1:27) to bring messages.
"And I'm thankful for the opportunity, wherever He takes me, to bring messages, and to make people laugh. Sometimes, even when I mean to."
