Performer Discussion Points

Our performers are able to tailor their show to fit the needs of your Event. To ensure that you and your performer(s) are on the same page, and that all expectations are understood, please walk through the following points and questions with your performer(s).

 

Travel & Accommodations

  • Travel: Provide the Performer with final travel documents and directions to the Event site. Make sure that the travel itinerary and accommodations are clear to both parties.

  • Transportation: Provide the performer with transportation information: to/from the airport, to/from accommodations.

  • Emergency Contact Info: Provide the Performer with church and pastor contact information, including after hours and/or cell phone numbers in case of emergency. Your emergency contact is your Event Coordinator, whose cell phone number is printed on the fax cover of your Event Agreement.
  • Travel Provider- The authorized travel provider for Outreach Comedians is Christian Travel Finder. com. Please call them to make all travel arrangements: 888-518-7571, them them it is an Outreach Event!

 

Event Information

  • Event Schedule: Walk through the Event Schedule, and clarify all details with the Performer (be sure to fax a written copy to the Performer).

  • Warm-Up Room: Assess the needs of the Performer: Will a "Warm-up" room be provided or ill the Performer to sit in the audience (if a warm-up room is provided, agree on a room and location).

  • Refreshments: Will refreshments be available to the Performer? What refreshments are needed/will be provided? When and where?

  • Site Set-Up: Clearly communicate the stage and room set-ups. Make changes necessary if requested by the Performer.

  • Event Theme & Purpose: Clearly communicate the theme and purpose of the Event to your Performer.

Performance: Act

  • Stage cue: How will the stage cue be done? (i.e. - verbal from onstage OR prompted by a stagehand?)

  • Technical Rider understood: Review specific technical needs with Performer --refer to the Technical Rider (click here) and your Event Agreement. Note any changes, and alert the technical team.

  • Performance type & length: Discuss the Performance type and length. Clearly agree on expectations.

 

Performance: Message

  • Message Guidelines: Find the appropriate message type for your audience. Refer to the message guidelines (click here).

  • Message given: Discuss if a message is to be given by the Performer.

  • Performance to Message Ratio: Discuss the length of act vs. length of message (i.e. - 45 minute act with a 15 minute message).

  • Message type: Agree on the message type (i.e. - testimony, theme, Gospel, other ).

  • Event Theme & Purpose: Degree of emphasis you'd like placed on the theme in performer's act (if any).

  • Altar call: Type of "decision time" performer is expected to facilitate:
     
    -none -prayer room -other
    -altar call -response card  
    -raised hand -silent prayer  


Wrap Up & Product Sales

  • Post-Event Mingling: Do you want the Performer to mingle after the Event?

  • Performer Product Sales: Does the Performer require a table and/or volunteers for product sales?

  • Post-Event Activities: Discuss any other post-Event activities you'd like the performer to participate in.
