have recently hosted several of these events. Here's what I liked:
- These "invite-able"
events pay for themselves! Our church has made a profit hosting
these comedy nights. In fact, we used one of the comedy concerts
as a Missions trip fundraiser.
- Our church attracts first
time visitors with these fun comedy shows. In fact, the president
of our local city chamber of commerce came to our church for the
first time to attend our comedy outreach event. I don't think
she would have set foot in the church otherwise. Plus, I laughed
like crazy and heard some great stories that I have used in messages.
